Sr. Development Chemist * Polymer experience*
Dayton, TN
This position will support monomer and polymer production. Product development including modifying existing formulations for improved performance and development of innovative monomers and polymers for advanced engineering applications.
There will be particular emphasis on polysiloxanes, epoxies, polyamides, black co-polymers, graft co-polymers and both water soluble and organic soluble polymers.
Requirements:
Reporting to Technical Director, the qualified person will have hands on experience in both design and manufacture of polymers. In addition,
Must have degree in polymer chemistry with and emphasis on organic synthesis or silicone chemistry. Advanced degree is preferred.
5-10 years industrial experience in both design and manufacture of polymers
Familiar with state-of-the-art engineering polymers with strong understanding of structure/effects relationships
Able to provide plant coverage during production processes when necessary
Must be a team player and able to work with an communicate with all levels of company personnel.

The ideal candidate must be able to perform unit operation calculations and able to apply chemical engineering standards to industrial application.

Manufacturing optimization with Operations Department
Verification that ISO 900 system is followed for existing and new projects
Design support for new equipment
System controls design, maintenance and upkeep for Delta V System
Safety Team support
New process development support
Root cause analysis/correction action on Operation issues
Technical support/liaison between Technical Department and Operations Department

Chemist/Formulation Rolling Meadows, IL
The ideal candidate must have experience in Graphics Arts Chemistry and formulation for Industrial Chemistry.
Chemist will direct and coordinate Supervisory activities in the Product Technical Center by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate.
Position Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Conduct laboratory experiments to formulate and evaluate pressroom products
Refine existing pressroom products
Develop new pressroom products and transfer current non-US pressroom products for sale in US.
Compile and summarize experimental results
Provide technical support to manufacturing and sales
Experience in utilizing ink tester instruments when conducting industrial research.
Education/Experience:
Bachelors Degree from a four year college or university (Chemical background a must), and a minimum of 8 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Travel:
Position may require some travel.
